WAYNE, Neb. (KTIV) - Five panels of a more than 50,000-panel quilt sit on display at Wayne State College, raising awareness of HIV/Aids in the United States.
The display is free and open to public viewing from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Mondays through Fridays at the campus’s Ley Theatre, which can be found on the second floor of the Brandenburg Building.
It is on display through Monday, Dec. 1, which is World AIDS Day. On that day, the student-run radio station, KWSC-FM “the Cat” plans to broadcast a special program, complete with artists and bands impacted by HIV/Aids and PSAs highlighting statistics, prevention, treatments and health resources on the subject.
Wayne State College says more than 700,000 lives have been lost to HIV/Aids in the United States.
