MOUNT PLEASANT, MI – MyMichigan Health CEO Lydia Watson, M.D., says consolidating Central Michigan University’s medical students in Saginaw will give future doctors something she had during her own training as an OB-GYN there: mentors at every stage of their education just steps away.
That proximity can create a multiplying effect on learning, as students can draw on the experience of peers, residents, and faculty in real time.
An $80 million investment with dual $40 million donations from Covenant HealthCare and MyMichigan Health will help make that possible.
