Prince Philip reportedly ordered people to monitor Sarah Ferguson ’s actions and use “audio bugs” on her, it has been claimed by a royal author. On his Substack The Lownie Report author Andrew Lownie - famous for his latest book Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York - has claimed that Philip had “ordered illegal wiretapping” on the former duchess when she separated from Philip’s son Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

According to Lownie, sources have informed him that Philip ordered a private investigator to follow Sarah, 66, for a year before she divorced Andrew in 1996. It has also been claimed by Lownie that a source said Philip used “audio bugs and hidden cameras” to spy on the former duchess. As well as this, Philip reportedly had her phone bugged.
