SPRINGDALE — A shooting incident early Thursday in a fast food restaurant parking lot was the result of a civilian trying to take matters into his own hands rather than calling police, according to a Friday news release from the Springdale Police Department.
Police received a 911 call about 2 a.m. Thursday, and the caller later informed dispatchers that another individual had fired a shot at him while he was in his vehicle near the Whattaburger at 4172 Elm Springs Road.
Officers responded and contacted the caller who reported a man in a silver or gray pickup had shot at him. No injuries were reported, but officers located damage consistent with a gunshot to the caller’s vehicle and found a bullet.
