Many drivers like to get festive during the holiday season, but decorations on your car - especially if they involve lights - may get you pulled over.

Under Delaware code , any lights on the front of the vehicle or on the side near the front need to be amber in color. That would match the color of turn signals and reflectors.

For the same reason, lights at the back need to be red.

The code also states that lights should not be flashing, blinking or twinkling. Also, they cannot cause an obstruction.

According to the Delaware Department of Transportation, law enforcement is ultimately responsible for determining whether decorations on a vehicle violate any sections of the code and represent a hazard.
