RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - A woman has been given life in prison with parole eligibility after 38 years for shooting and killing a teen at the GSR in 2022.

Carleja Royal murdered Elaundra Thomas and shot Jeremiah Sesepasara on the evening of Aug. 27, 2022 after waiting in her car for them to leave the pool at the GSR.

Royal had followed the group of victims to the club area, stayed for six minutes, then returned to her car where her girlfriend was waiting.

A little bit more than an hour later, when the victims and their group walked to their cars, Royal drove past and opened fire, shooting 10 times, hitting both Thomas and Sesepasara. The entire sequence of events was captured on surveillance footage.
