An announcement regarding Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin’s future with the program will be made next Saturday, the day after the Rebels’ final regular season game against Mississippi State in the Egg Bowl on Nov. 28, Ole Miss athletic director Keith Carter revealed in a statement on Friday.

Carter’s proclamation comes following a turbulent week for Kiffin, who LSU and Florida have courted for their open head coaching jobs.

Sources have told The Advocate that Kiffin is the focus of LSU’s coaching search, and members of Kiffin’s family, including his ex-wife Layla, toured Baton Rouge on Monday. Kiffin’s family members also reportedly visited Gainesville on Sunday.
