Mikel Arteta is “confident” that Bukayo Saka will sign a new contract with Arsenal .
Saka is approaching the final 18 months of his current deal in north London and is in talks with the Gunners over an extension .
Arteta believes that an agreement will be found as Saka and his agent, Emeka Obasi, have both communicated that the England winger wants to stay put.
Saka has been with Arsenal for his whole career to date after rising through their Hale End academy to become a key first-team player.
“Well, what I’m very aware of is that he wants to continue with us,” said Arteta when asked for an update on the situation ahead of Sunday’s north London derby against Tottenham .
“He’s very happy that he’s in the place that he wants to continue to be and achieve everything that we want
