Two men charged with first-degree murder in the death of a Calgary woman whose remains were found east of the city will likely stand trial in early 2027.
Crown and defence lawyers appeared in Calgary Court of King’s Bench Friday where a tentative four-week jury trial was set for Paul Joseph Rushton and Steven Aaron Zwick.

Rushton, 53, of Calgary, and Zwick, 28, of Airdrie, are charged in connection with the death of Chelsea Davidenas, whose remains were found on April 4, 2024.
It’s believed she was slain nearly two months earlier, on Feb. 17, 2024.
The two accused were arrested two days before the grisly discovery of Davidenas’ remains.
