MINNEAPOLIS — Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison announced on Friday that an outside mediator will intervene to resolve a bitter dispute among the three groups that comprise M Health Fairview, one of the state's largest healthcare brands.
Ellison said in a news release that the University of Minnesota, the doctors' group known as M Physicians and Fairview Health Services "are returning to the negotiating table" after making "significant" progress in talks. These negotiations are high-stakes, given the implications for more than a million patients across Minnesota and the future of the state's flagship medical school.
