Gogglebox favourites Dave and Shirley Griffiths kicked off Friday's episode with some heartwarming news.

Dave surprised his wife by setting off a confetti cannon, leaving Shirley startled. Shirley queried: "What have you got there?" before the confetti cannon exploded, leading her to exclaim: "You stupid cow! You d**k!".

A delighted Dave then announced: "Happy anniversary!" before planting a kiss on his wife. He added: "We've got to celebrate, haven't we, 50 years!"

A laughing Shirley responded: "I was going to say, you've covered the b****y dogs!" as their pet dogs were seen blanketed in confetti, reports the Mirror .
