A vehicle crash damaged power poles on Chester Street in downtown Little Rock on Friday, causing some businesses in the area to close or cut short their hours.

A box struck struck one power pole, Entergy Arkansas spokesman Matt Ramsey said, and the wires connecting them caused damage to two others. Crews were able to reroute power quickly to restore electricity to customers in the area, he said, and repairs to the utility poles were ongoing late Friday afternoon, he said.

Vino's Brew Pub closed Friday, it announced on social media, posting a photo of two power poles just outside the restaurant and music venue that were snapped in half more than 10 feet off the ground and were dangling from power lines.
