The Flat Rock volleyball team will play for the Division 2 state title after a 25-20, 26-24, 23-25, 25-22 win over Fremont in Friday’s semifinal at Kellogg Arena.

The Rams will face Country Day in Saturday’s title game.

Sarah Giroux led Flat Rock with 30 kills and 24 digs. Maelie Fricke added 21 digs. Reagan Higdon had 15 kills and 16 digs. Zoe Ryan dished out 55 assists.

Taylor DeKuiper and Ava Geers had nine kills for Fremont. Grace Evans had 24 kills. Brynna Barnhart had 30 assists.

Flat Rock took the first two sets, breaking a 20-20 tie in Set 1 by taking the final four points with kills from Higdon, Giroux and Lily Klein.

DeKuiper tied the second set at 24-24 with a kill, but Flat Rock responded with a kill by Giroux before an attack error ended the set.
