LAKE CHARLES, La. (KPLC) - The All Pro Tour, or APT event, is hosted at L’Auberge Casino Resort. The winner of the 54-hole tournament wins $20,000, but the top ten finishers then get a chance to compete for $50,000 in the nine-hole high-stakes showdown.

Director of Media and Communications of the APT, Marissa McCardell, says that the players know exactly what they are signing up for.

“So, a lot of the money actually comes from the entry fees of the guys. So you know what they give in, they’ll get back if they make the cut. And then a lot of the times the city will actually help us out with that purse money too,” McCardell said.

McCardell says the tour has had to deal with Louisiana’s unpredictable weather in the past, canceling a round of the women’s tournament last year.
