WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — A 17-year-old was shot multiple times Friday during a domestic dispute at a home on Jamestown Road in Winston-Salem, police said.

Officers responded at 11:36 a.m. to 2121 Jamestown Road, where they found the juvenile victim with gunshot injuries.

Police said the suspect, 18-year-old Lucas Denard Haile, and the victim were in a dating relationship. The shooting occurred after a domestic disturbance at the home, during which Haile fired a gun, striking the victim multiple times. The victim is in stable condition.

Haile was arrested without incident, and police recovered the firearm used in the shooting. He faces charges of felony assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill, felony possession of a stolen firearm, and misdemeanor domestic violence. A magistrate or
