NEW ALBANY, Ind. — Almost two years after their fight began, the heirs of Leon Noel won their lawsuit against Jamey Noel and Kasey Noel .
"We're very grateful that everything's done, over with. We literally won," Hope Noel said, who was married to Leon from 2007 to 2011.
Court records in early 2024 accused Jamey of unlawfully handling his brother's estate after his death in 2018. Jamey sold Leon's house to his own daughter Kasey, allegedly giving her equity in the house, and paying himself out of the estate for basement repairs.
Leon's three kids Dorian, Taylor and Jack attempted to reopen Jamey's estate to recoup this money in March 2024. That attempt was denied, due to statue of limitations . However, when the family sued Jamey and Kasey in a separate action, they were awarded
