FORT CALHOUN, Neb. (WOWT) - Inside this Fort Calhoun dance studio, four young dancers are fulfilling a dream.
Nikki McCuen opened her self-named studio 33 years ago when she was 17 years old.
Her daughter Brielle, once danced in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade; an opportunity she’d never forget.
“I just think it’s amazing to then be able to now take them to New York to celebrate their effort and their work that they’ve spent a long time,” says Brielle McCuen.
Brielle’s cousin, 17-year-old Moria Doyle , along with 18-year-old Layla Kern, 15-year-old Addison Nuttelman and 14-year-old Claire Tetrick are flying to New York City next week to follow in her footsteps.
Moria has dreamed of this since she was five.
