UNIONTOWN, Pa. —

The Fayette County district attorney announced he will seek the death penalty against the two women accused of killing 9-year-old Renesmay Eutsey .

District Attorney Mike Aubele's office filed the notices against Kourtney Eutsey and Sarah Shipley, saying that the commonwealth will seek the death penalty if they are convicted of first-degree murder. Eutsey and Shipley have pleaded not guilty . Advertisement

Renesmay was reported missing in September. Investigators found the child's body near Smithton.
