Carroll County prosecutors are subpoenaing additional financial records of Wendy and Eddie Osefo, in the lead up to their insurance fraud trial. In a joint statement posted to Dr. Wendy’s Instagram, the couple’s lawyers say the new subpoenas are “deeply unjust” and argue that police “failed to properly investigate the initial burglary.” They are asking that the subpoenas be quashed.
Prosecutors allege the Osefos have “approximately 40 credit and/or debit cards, some of which are believed to be in company names,” according to the Baltimore Banner .
