A person was taken into custody Friday after first responders in Harrisburg were dispatched to two fires that were intentionally set, according to the fire chief.

Just before 12:30 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to the 500 block of Woodbine Street, where two fires were burning on opposite sides of the street, Harrisburg Fire Chief Brian Enterline said.

One of the fires was smaller, but the other was growing quickly. Crews were able to get water on both fires and extinguish the flames before they continued to spread.

“The guys did an amazing job putting them out simultaneously,” Enterline said.

No injuries were reported, but Enterline said the fires caused structural damage.
