Wicked: For Good seemingly ends with the perfect segue for a third movie, but nothing has yet been confirmed about another movie happening as of now.

Wicked and Wicked: For Good were directly adapted from the Broadway musical and it’s unclear where a third movie might go if one were to be made. “Wicked” author Gregory Maguire has written several sequels, so they could potentially pull from there, or go in an entirely different direction.

Wicked composer Stephen Schwartz is opening up about his ideas for a third movie, which he says he’s already discussing with screenwriter Winnie Holzman .
