LOUISVILLE, Ky. —
As nonprofits around the country struggle financially, those working to elevate the mission of these groups are unfortunately in the same boat.
A major supporter of nonprofits in Louisville and southern Indiana is saying goodbye after 25 years of service.
The Center for Nonprofit Excellence will cease operations at the end of the year due to funding constraints.
“It was a really tough decision for the board,” said CEO Das Rooprai. “We looked at so many different possible opportunities throughout the last couple of years, from adjusting our budget to how we're staffed.”
From Wayside Christian Mission to the Louisville Urban League, the center trains hundreds of nonprofits to reach their full potential.
