Comedian Peter Kay was forced to momentarily halt his Liverpool show on Friday night after a technical issue disrupted the opening moments of his performance. The 52-year-old, from Bolton , took to the stage at the M&S Bank Arena in Liverpool at 8pm for the first of two back-to-back shows as part of his record-breaking Better Late Than Never tour.

However, just a few moments into the performance, the Phoenix Nights and Max and Paddy star, found himself unable to continue as a camera used to film the audience cut out unexpectedly, the Liverpool Echo reports . The fault left him with no option but to improvise while technicians attempted to fix the issue.
