WRIGHTWOOD, Calif. (KABC) -- The latest storm dumped 14 inches of fresh snow overnight at Mountain High Resort just in time for the weekend.
The timing of the snow couldn't be better for winter sports lovers. Mountain High Resort is set to kick off its opening day on Saturday, which is when it will officially open up the slopes.
This comes after the Wrightwood area was transformed overnight into a true winter landscape.
The snowplows were out early Friday morning to help residents dig out from underneath the overnight snowfall.
Those driving up to the mountains are reminded to bring their chains. It's also a good idea to pack extra water, snacks and an external battery for your devices.
