HENRICO, Va. (WWBT) - Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens has opened its annual Dominion Energy GardenFest of Lights for the holiday season, transforming the grounds with millions of lights in dazzling displays.
The Henrico attraction has been voted the best botanical garden holiday lights in America.
This year’s theme is “The Elements,” giving visitors the chance to explore displays inspired by fire, earth, air, water and a special fifth element, love.
Some familiar favorites are back again this year, including a model train display centered around homes and habitats that includes a lake scene, a wooded mountain, a farm and a town.
Visitors can also check out the warming fire in the Cochrane Rose Garden, a spot to warm up, drink hot chocolate and roast s’mores.
