The Texas Tech basketball team will try to score a massive non-conference win when they take on Purdue in the finals of the Baha Mar Championship today in the Bahamas.
The 15th-ranked Red Raiders moved to 4-1 on the season with an 84-83 win over Wake Forest in the first round of the tournament. Purdue, ranked No. 1 in the country, fought off Memphis 80-71 to win the other first-round game of the event.
It'll be a matchup between two of the top players in the country with Texas Tech's JT Toppin going head-to-head with Purdue's Braden Smith. Toppin is the reigning Big 12 player of the year and second team All-American while Smith is the reigning Big Ten player of the year and a first team All-American last season.
