WYFF News 4 has reported on the number of code of ethics complaints made against Abbeville Mayor Trey Edwards. Earlier this month, the Abbeville City Council voted to censure the mayor . One of the complaints came from the city's utilities director, who says the mayor never paid his utility deposit back in 2023. However, the mayor's utility services went uninterrupted for years.
During WYFF 4's last report , the Abbeville utilities director shared with us how the mayor was able to go two years without service disruption, even though the deposit went unpaid. The answers raised concerns.
