Washington [US], August 22 (ANI): For the first time, researchers have found that people with obesity had changed connection patterns with particular brain regions in the ventral tegmental area ( VTA ), a crucial brain structure involved in motivation and reward appreciation. According to a recent study, people who are obese exhibit hypo-connectivity with the left inferior frontal gyrus (related with cognitive control ) and hyper-connectivity with a portion of the ventral occipitotemporal cortex.
