Emilia Clarke will always be famous for her star-making role as Daenerys Targaryen in Game of Thrones , but she’s trading Westeros for Moscow in her new series, which just got an exciting first look. Clarke has been tapped to star alongside Haley Lu Richardson ( The White Lotus ) in Ponies , the new murder-mystery series set against the backdrop of the Cold War in the 1970s . Set in Moscow, the series follows two secretaries at the American embassy who become CIA operatives after their husbands are killed. Peacock has released the first three images from the show , which will premiere on January 15.
