CHEYENNE — Residents continued the conversation of what materials children should have access to during public comment at the Laramie County Library Board of Directors meeting Friday.
The board discussed and unanimously approved the library’s collection development and reconsideration policies, both of which affect how the public interacts with the library’s collection.
The policies outline how materials are curated for the library, and the process for community members to challenge the presence of certain materials, events, exhibitions or displays available at the library.
A few dozen residents came to discuss their varying concerns, including alleged inappropriate content and the potential for limiting what kids can access.
