A politician who was a loyal supporter of Donald Trump has sensationally told she quitting from Congress.
Marjorie Taylor Greene said she didn’t want her congressional district "to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the president we all fought for" in a 10-minute video explaining her decision to end her time in January. The 51-year-old woman had been a close ally to Mr Trump but, in her video, said she refuses to be the US President's "battered wife".
In her clip, Ms Greene said: "I have too much self respect and dignity, love my family way too much, and do not want my sweet district to have to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by the President we all fought for, only to fight and win my election while Republicans will likely lose the midterms.
