The momentum came to a crashing halt for the Colorado volleyball team in the final road match of the regular season.
CU fell flat on Friday night at Cincinnati, as the Bearcats posted 25-15, 25-16, 25-16 win against the 21st-ranked Buffaloes. It was just the third time this season the Buffs have been swept.

CU (22-7, 12-5 Big 12) posted a hitting percentage of just .105 while the Bearcats finished with a .404 mark.
“A disappointing result,” CU head coach Jesse Mahoney said in a release. “A match where Cincinnati did everything right and we couldn’t get going. We’ve been a really good defensive team this year – we haven’t let anyone hit for those kind of numbers. We just couldn’t slow them down for whatever reason, and we lost some discipline once we got down.”
