CHESTNUT HILL – Boston College men’s basketball fell to Davidson, 59-49, on Friday afternoon at the Shriners Children’s Charleston Classic.

Donald Hand Jr. led all scorers in the contest with 14 points.

FIRST HALF

Jayden Hastings logged the opening four points for BC, posting up the Davidson defenders and laying in back-to-back hook shots.

Buckets from Chase Forte and Hand Jr. gave the Eagles a 12-7 lead into the first media timeout. The Wildcats responded with a 16-4 run, holding a five-point edge at the eight-minute m ark.

BC answered with an 8-2 run, capped by an Aidan Shaw dunk and three-pointer from Fred Payne to reclaim a four-poin t lead with just over four minutes remaining in the half.
