The Toledo Walleye saw four different players find the back of the net in a 4-1 victory over the Wichita Thunder at the Huntington Center on Friday.
Toledo (7-3-1) outshot Wichita (4-6-2-1) 15-10 in the first period and went ahead 1-0 on a Nick Andrews goal a little more than five minutes in. That margin lasted until late in the second period when Jordan Ernst added a goal to make it 2-0 after two periods.
The Thunder cut their deficit in half late in the third period thanks to a goal by Kyle Crnkovic.
But the Walleye slammed the door with a pair of goals in the last 1:09. Tanner Dickinson was the first to cash in, then it was Conlan Keenlan’s turn with 17 seconds left for the 4-1 final.
