The chairman of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation has sparked some outrage among Clevelanders with a thoughtless comment suggesting the induction ceremony belongs in Los Angeles rather than the city that actually houses the museum.
During Friday’s Today in Ohio podcast, host Laura Johnston brought up the controversy, explaining that John Sykes had made a particularly tone-deaf remark during the LA induction ceremony.
“He said at the LA induction ceremony that he was glad to see it was quote, back in Southern California where it belongs.”
