Just over 24 hours after the Guelph Storm were put on junior hockey’s biggest stage as hosts of the 2027 Memorial Cup, the junioriest of hockey games was played.

It was like the stick-and-puck embodiment of a Jackson Pollock painting.

At the end of the evening . . . the end, as if time has any meaning at all anymore . . . at the end of the evening, the Owen Sound Attack skated away with a 10-7 win over their Highway 6 rivals.
