FISHERS, Ind. — Cody Laskosky wasted no time making an impact on his new team.
Acquired in a trade with Tahoe Friday morning, Laskosky scored two goals to lead the Indy Fuel to a 2-1 win over Adirondack Friday night at the Fishers Event Center.
After a scoreless first period, the 26-year-old forward opened the scoring with a goal from Lee Lapid and Sahil Panwar at 15:27 of the second period. Less than eight minutes into the third, Laskosky struck again, set up by Matt Petgrave and Jesse Tucker for what would be the game-winning goal.
The Thunder pulled within one with 1:16 remaining in the game on a Justin Taylor goal, but the Fuel held on for the win.
Fuel goaltender Owen Flores stopped 25 of 26 shots to get the win.
