A former nurse at the Suffolk County House of Correction is facing fraud, forgery and larceny charges for allegedly ignoring the facility’s protocols for destroying medication, prosecutors said.
Mary Forte, 69, was arraigned Wednesday in Roxbury Municipal Court on two counts of larceny of a drug obtained by fraud, two counts of larceny of a drug, and one count of forgery, court records show.
She pleaded not guilty. She was released on personal recognizance.
She is due back in court Dec. 2 for a hearing to appoint counsel, the Suffolk district attorney’s office said in a statement Thursday.
Prosecutors say that she diverted 1,992 milliliters of methadone; 1,798 8mg pills of suboxone; and forged 89 signatures.
