MANCHESTER, N.H. —

WMUR's partners at PolitiFact examined a claim about Thanksgiving prices made by President Donald Trump, that there's a 25 percent reduction in costs for Thanksgiving this year.

Trump is referring to Walmart's Thanksgiving dinner ingredient kits, which this year cost $40.

That is $15 less than last year's kit; this would indicate a 27 percent price drop.

But our partners at Politifact tell us, there's a major problem with the comparison.

It turns out the Walmart kits aren't the same and this year's basket of goods is smaller.
