Downsizers have secured their own piece of a trendy inner-city suburb, picking up a petite, pretty terrace for $1,735,000.
The couple purchased the impeccably refurbished 17 Amy Street in Erskineville under the hammer. It had been guided at $1.6 million during the campaign.
The final offer leapfrogged the $1.69 million reserve during a speedy exchange of bids, in which two young professional couples were runners-up.
The home last sold for $956,000 in 2022, public records show.
All three parties that registered took part in the auction for the stylish two-bedroom home set on just over 63 square metres of land, under the eye of auctioneer Ricky Briggs and listing agent Matthew Blackmore of Strathfield Partners.
