Bhopal: The 52nd National Children’s Science Exhibition in the capital showcased an inspiring display of innovation as young scientists Mrinal Gurung, Srijal Gurung, and their mentor Rakesh Gurung from PM Shri SRBG Sen Secondary School, Kaluk (Sikkim), were honored for their exceptional project on paper waste management. The recognition was presented by Sushil Kumar Jain, President of the Paryavaran Sanskriti Trust.
Explaining their project, Mrinal and Srijal noted that their school faces a significant challenge with paper waste, generating nearly 2–3 tons every 4–5 months. To address this issue, they developed a simple, cost-effective, and eco-friendly method to recycle waste paper into TLMs (Teaching Learning Materials) and notebooks. Their aim is
