A 13-year-old girl died on Friday after reportedly jumping from the roof of her school building in Maharashtra’s Jalna district, sending shockwaves through the community. The incident took place between 7:30 and 8:00 am, triggering panic among students, staff, and nearby residents, reported ANI.

Sadar Police Inspector Sandeep Bharti said officers were alerted around 8:00 am and rushed to the spot. The Class 7 student was found critically injured and was immediately taken to a local hospital, where she was declared dead.

Inspector Bharti said the investigation is at an early stage, and multiple possibilities are being examined. “We received information that a 13-year-old schoolgirl had jumped from the school roof. The inquiry is in progress, and it’s too early to reach any conclusions. O
