The brackets are set for the fourth round of the NCHSAA playoffs.

Following the third round Nov. 21 , the matchups for the Nov. 28 fourth-round games have been decided. Five Western North Carolina teams are still alive, including No. 11 Mitchell .

The playoffs will feature six rounds in each classification except for 1A and 8A, which have a smaller bracket. The top eight seeds in the east and west brackets each receive a bye in the first round. Unlike previous years, top seeds are not decided by conference champions. Seeding is done entirely by RPI rankings.
