LOS ANGELES -- Morgan Geekie scored his second goal of the game at 2:27 of overtime to give the Boston Bruins a 2-1 win against the Los Angeles Kings at Crypto.com Arena on Friday.
Geekie took a pass from David Pastrnak and roofed a wrist shot over Darcy Kuemper's blocker from the top of the right circle. It was his 16th goal of the season, which is tied with Nathan MacKinnon of the Colorado Avalanche for the NHL lead.
Jeremy Swayman made 31 saves, and Nikita Zadorov had two assists for the Bruins (13-10-0), who had lost two straight and three of their previous four.
Joel Armia scored a short-handed goal for the second straight game, and Kuemper made 24 saves for the Kings (10-6-6), who were coming off a 4-3 shootout loss at the San Jose Sharks on Thursday and are 0-1-2 in their past
