Yankees' hopes for free agent Devin Williams revealed by The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal
Devin Williams' first season with the New York Yankees didn't go quite as well as planned.
Now the question has become whether there will be a second.
Williams is a free agent, and he won't be without his suitors.
But this week, The Athletic's Ken Rosenthal and Will Sammon reported that the Yankees want to bring Williams back.
That would certainly make sense as a concept. The Yankees traded Caleb Durbin and Nestor Cortes to get Williams in December 2024. They knew he was going into the last year of his contract, but they likely would've been considering an extension at that time.
