EASTVALE — St. Pius X-St. Matthias Academy dominated Roosevelt in a 39-6 road victory in a CIF-SS Division 6 semifinal playoff game on Friday.
For the second consecutive year, the Warriors (7-6, 2-3) advanced to a section title game after a subpar regular season, and for the second straight year, it was led by dynamic senior quarterback Jassi Williams.
Williams did it all for St. Pius as he literally ran through the Mustangs’ defense all game long. He finished with 202 rushing yards on 17 carries and two touchdowns, including a 39-yard touchdown run.
He also added 138 yards passing and completed 11 of his 22 passes with two touchdowns and an interception.
Williams said he was very confident coming into this game and wanted to get back to the title game.
