Odisha celebrated the state-level birth anniversary of legendary freedom fighter Shaheed Laxman Nayak, who remains the pride of the tribal community and a devoted disciple of Mahatma Gandhi.
Nayak, born on November 22, 1899, in Tentuligumma village of the undivided Koraput district (now Malkangiri), inspired generations with his courage, sacrifice, and unwavering patriotism. Consequently, floral tributes and homage ceremonies took place across the state to honour his legacy.
