JOHANNESBURG - Prime Minister Mark Carney is in Johannesburg for the G20 summit, where he will be meeting with the leaders of Canada's closest partners.
Carney met this morning with French President Emmanuel Macron, and they were set to discuss geopolitical issues as well as Canada's collaboration with European defence firms through the ReArm Europe initiative.
Carney is set to meet today with leaders from Jamaica, Norway, Germany, the U.K., the European Union and the World Trade Organization.
He will also take part in official meetings with G20 leaders, with a morning session on inclusive economic growth such as reforming financing for development, and an afternoon session on climate change, food systems and clean energy.
