RAVENNA, Ohio — Traxton Richards’ 94-yard kickoff return in the second quarter got Perry on the scoreboard Friday night against Glenville, and that is all the Pirates could manage in the OHSAA Division IV regional football finals.
Glenville’s defense allowed nothing more in a 35-7 victory at Ravenna’s Portage Community Bank Stadium.
Perry (10-3) rushed for 68 yards and gained another 61 yards in the passing game, as the top seed in Region 13 lost for the second straight year to the Tarblooders (10-3). A year ago, Glenville emerged in overtime for a 12-6 victory with C.J. Newell’s walk-off touchdown run.
