Lawyers representing the family of deceased Ola Electric employee Aravind Kannan said on Friday that the investigation into his death has been transferred to the Central Crime Branch (CCB) in Bengaluru.
According to the legal team, led by Senior Advocate P. Prasanna Kumar, the move follows a petition by Aravind’s family to senior police officials, seeking a fair, independent and time-bound probe into the circumstances of his alleged suicide.
The family had written to both the Director General of Police (DGP) and the Bengaluru Police Commissioner, expressing a lack of confidence in the earlier investigation and highlighting what they believe are serious gaps in how the case was being handled.
